I own three of them, the first was purchased about 7-8 years, and two more a year or two later. All worked flawlessly. Put in new batteries in the first season, they had all the time.
The first one I bought required two 9-volt batteries, which are quite valuable. It is clear that the MFG recognized as a measure contrary and went to 3 AA batteries, much more.

The Gilmour water timer consists of an electronic/motor item and a valve. The electronic/motor module is detachable from the valve for the goal of programming, which is done via the 4 membrane keys on the front panel. Four programs are handy. A watering program includes the start then, the end period, and the frequency of action during the week. Up to 4 on-off operations are on tap per day by employing all four programs. The whole timer council can be well installed between the hose bib and the water hose without tools.
I bought two of these Gilmour timers on July 2007. They were the overpower water timers I ever owned. They were wonderful-easy as pie to settle and kind of unhurried to program, but, alas, they lasted only for 2 years. The electronics worked upstanding mulct, but the motors destroyed the torque to take to one's heels the valves. One of the timers was acquainted with only sometimes, while the other turned on and off common.
