Does the bathroom mold quickly becuase of the steam from a shower?

I would judge all the steam would make s bathroom a good [place for mold...especially if you have carpet. Is it? Is this a workaday problem? Why haven't we tried to come up with ideas to fix it if it's been around so great?

Yes it is a worn out problem.

Code now requires all bathrooms to have adequate ventilation, a window that opens or an escape fan. In cooler climates even if you have a window you should have a exhaust fan.
