Are Snakes in US and West Africa, Ghana similar and can snake repellents in US be used for snakes in Ghana?

There is considerable debate as to whether Snake Away works on the same species it is designed and approved for the United States, it is cumbersome to say whether it would work any better there. It appears to be less effective on snakes that seem to be like here.

Is there any such thing as snake repellent? And can you identify this snake? PLEASE ANSWER?

There are several species of "baleful snake" in the southeastern U.S., we can narrow it down a bit, but without specifics we won't be able to rightful guess the right snake. (a search on "<your state> snake labelling" should help immensely.)
